The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a unique code stamped on a car's chassis, verifying its identity and history.

Common VIN locations:

  • Dashboard – Near the windshield on the driver's side.
  • Door jamb – Inside the driver's side door frame.
  • Engine compartment – Often on the engine block.
  • Under the spare wheel – In some cases, the VIN may also be located here.
